Being Thankful.

Today I am thankful for:

- Dry logs that catch fire quickly.
- My nine year old brother's amazing memory!
- A quiet morning by myself - and respectful little brothers that know how to amuse themselves.
- That the school semester finally started! I love schedules and the holidays didn't quite agree with me :)
- That my cold is not worse than it is.
- My four wonderful horses that teach me so much!
- Ice rinks on which to play hockey and nice sharp skates.
- Cameras with which to capture memories!
- Music!
- The numerous books I have, although I have to no time to read them.
- Hopes for "someday"
- The knowledge that God hold's my future in His hands.

I read this really neat quote today and thought I would share it:

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow.'" Mary Anne Radmacher

Have a blessed weekend,

Thoughts on New Years....

"Some how it seems easier to stay in the old year always hoping for change in the new year than entering the new year still hoping for change but never knowing when it will actually happen and still having to wait..."

The secret of unfolding flowers

Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so sweetly,
When in my hands they fade and die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I think I have wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?

So I'll trust in Him for His leading
Each moment of every day.
I will look to Him for His guidance
Each step
of the pilgrim way.

The pathway that lies before me,
Only my Heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose.

Words... and the definitions I have come to know.

Like:

To take pleasure in; find agreeable or congenial. To regard with favor; have a kindly or friendly feeling. To wish or prefer. To suit the tastes or wishes.

Tolerate:

To permit. To be able to bear. To put up with. To endure.

On a slightly more positive note: I purchased a new comforter this afternoon which I like very much. As well as a beautiful copy of Emma by Jane Austen which I like as well. There is one thing that at the moment I tolerate but that is not to be disclosed here as it would not be proper.

Until next time,

P.S. I also really appreciate my good old, navy blue, hoodie ;)
